LYNX ENTERTAINMENT SIGNEE, EUGENE KWAME MARFO,STAGE NAMED KUAMI EUGENE HAS REVEALED HOW HIS MUSIC CAREER STARTED WHEN HE WAS STILL A STUDENT AT THE AKIM-WENKYI SALVATION SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL.

It was during an interview on Adom TV’s Ahosepe show by Sister Sandy, where Kuami Eugene revealed that his music career was more crucial  to him than his academics, and although has many fond experiences of his time at school, particularly of his demo sessions and his friendship with a beat producer.

“Beat making for me started in SHS during that period, we held school demos and the ladies loved it.

When we released the music, the whole school wanted to listen to it and it was fascinating. It was an amazing experience,” he said.

He added that in order to gain more ideas, he went to the studios of a beat producer to observe and learn and that he was soon performing productively.

The producer was so caught by the young boy’s inner capabilities that he extended an invitation for him to visit more often, and that was the start of his music career.

“I dash from school to the producer’s apartment to hide. It carried on like this for two months, and it was one of the factors that led to my deboarding. I was practically done with school at the time, so I had to make the most of the opportunity to learn about music,” he revealed.

He then relocated to Accra with his mother where he was enrolled in a tertiary music school where he majored in music production and sound engineering. He claims that this, combined with his church experience, has helped him generate the best beats, earning him accolades such as Artiste of the Year and other titles.
