Meridian hotel was built by Osagyefo Dr kwame Nkrumah located in the heart of the world i.e Ghana (TEMA) where the GREEN WHICH MERIDIAN (GMT) passes . Meridian hotel was built in the 1990s as a hub for visitors and businessmen across the world to transact business. He had a secret underground tunnel that led to a special room designated for him. The hotel was the center of attraction which had a song composed for it titled “Meridian” by the Great band called WULOMEI.
The meridian hotel is being abandoned and residents around it are calling for it’s demolition as it has become a danger to people living around.
The foundation of the building has become Soo weak that it, could no longer hold the safe transfer if weight and facilitate the absolute building to the ground .
The building has become a life threatening as it could cause harm to residents.
With it current state of weak pillars revealing the steel casings, iron rods of the building pierced through it’s skeleton pillars posing as a death trap
Residents are also complaining about how recalcitrant criminals who often hid at the underground of the building to have used the place to attack innocent victims.
They are therefore calling on the authorities to as a matter of urgency pull down the building, before an unpalatable disaster befall the country one day .
